"To provide qualitative, therapeutic complementary approaches to health; that make a positive difference to well-being”
Margaret R Wright FdSc FHT
Hi, I’m Maggie; welcome to mrw-therapies4health
I hold a Foundation Degree in Complementary Approaches to Health and Social Care which upgrades my vocational qualifications from level 3 to level 5; hence the initials FdSc you now see after my name. The three years of part-time education covered 15 modules including academic and practical study with 100 hours work based practice. It was at times very challenging but well worth the effort I had to put in to graduate; which I did at Lincoln Cathedral on the 4th September 2012. It also means I now have a qualification in Remedial Massage and Nutrition.
My VTCT qualifications (level 3) include: Indian Head Massage, Aromatherapy, Swedish massage and Reflexology. Further qualifications include Hot Stone Massage, Bamboo Massage, Thermal Auricular Therapy (ear candling) and Holistic Facials, Natural Lift Facial Massage, an Aromatherapy Clinical Practitioner’s Diploma and an Advanced Precision Reflexology Diploma. In 2007 I qualified as an algorithm practitioner in Thought Field Therapy.
I hold a level 3 OCN qualification called “Healthy Highs”; developed through Pip Bateman, the founder and Director of the Holistic Health Team, Double Impact; a Nottingham based drug and alcohol service and Nottingham City Crime and Drugs Partnership.
I have 11 years’ experience of working within agencies as part of the multi-disciplinary team that support service users in recovery from drug and alcohol dependency on both the clinical and aftercare sides of the service and with charities and organisations that support those affected by HIV and other blood borne viruses.
